Home Cooked Meals Service

How many times have you heard working parents complaining about the lack of time to prepare supper for the family on busy weeknights?

The sad truth is, when parents work all day, pick the kids up from school and get home, it is usually past six o'clock. Then starts the shuffling through the kitchen from fridge to stove, from pantry to cutting board to prepare a wholesome home cooked meal! They end up completely exhausted by 7:30.

Your elderly neighbors might also appreciate a home cooked meal once in a while. Elderly folks tend to stay away from the stove more and more, eating commercial food from the refrigerator.

Preparing good nutritious meals for families and neighbors is easy if you like to cook. It can also generate a decent part-time or full-time income, depending on how much time you are willing to dedicate to the task.

Start with a small survey of parents from your children's school, your neighbors, friends and family. You might be surprised how many are interested in buying home cooked meals. Use your email to reach more people, and ask your family and friends to pass your offer on to their entourage.

Now would be the time to begin creating menus on a weekly basis. You can offer one or two kinds of soups, one or two main courses, a few side dishes and a dessert.

Time to calculate prices! Go the grocery store and buy only the ingredients you need for your menu. Cook everything up in sizes of four portions and calculate how much it cost you. Double that amount to get your price. Usually the complete menu to feed a family of four for a week is still very reasonable for the buyer. Compared to frozen entrees from the supermarket, home cooking is cheaper and often tastier and healthier. Plus, the more you cook at a time, the more you increase your hourly rate.

Email the interested people with the prototype menu and ask for comments or suggestions.

Now, how to deliver all this good food. You can either offer to deliver the food once a week or have the people come pick it up.

To save money on packaging, there are a few options to consider.

You can buy low-cost plastic containers to sell the food, and add the cost of the containers to your pricing. You can offer a deal to recurring clients by asking them to bring the containers back when they are done the price of the containers will be deducted from the total.

Investing in a vacuum-seal machine can also be very interesting. Add a dollar to each weekly menu and cover the cost of your machine in a few months. This way, you can also freeze portions of leftovers and sell them by the item when there is a demand. Sealing food by vacuum is probably the best way to keep food fresh longer.

So give it a try and good luck with your home cooking business.

The Executive Coaching Contract

Having found a coach you feel comfortable and excited about working with, the next step is to discuss and sign the coaching contract or agreement. This is vital to ensure that both coach and client are clear from the outset about what is expected.

The coaching contract will set out the duration of the coaching, and the frequency and length of the sessions within that period. It will make clear the etiquette of the coaching relationship - for example, what each party should do if they need to reschedule appointments. The contract will suggest what needs to be done between sessions in order for agreed goals to be achieved, and the availability of the coach between sessions.

There will be guidelines regarding what is required from the coaching relationship in order for optimum results to be achieved. The coach needs honest feedback from the client about how well the coaching is working - different people may need different approaches. Equally, the client must be able to take on board frank feedback from the coach if they are to move forward past existing blocks.

The contract will emphasise that everything discussed during coaching is confidential and will not be revealed by the coach or used for the coach's own personal gain.

The payment structure will be clearly set out, including the frequency of payments, which are normally requested in advance.

The beauty of the coaching contract is that having discussed and agreed the practicalities before coaching starts, both parties are free during the sessions to concentrate purely on the client's goals and ways to achieve them.

And so the debate goes on as to whether contact lenses or eye glasses are the better choice. Both have their advantages over the other and both have their disadvantages and it is important to review these advantages and disadvantages because the eyes are very important in this seeing world that requires vision for proper function. If we cannot see properly, then we easily miss things, have difficulty reading, or can become seriously injured when in hazardous conditions. This is why it is necessary to carefully evaluate the contact lenses versus eye glass debate and figure out what side you are on.

Contact lenses

Contact lenses certainly have their advantages, which is why many choose them over their eye glasses. It is fair to say that when contacts were invented, they opened up a whole new world for those who had been wearing glasses for quite some time. When wearing glasses, we become used to how we see and we do not think anything of it. But throw in a pair of contacts and the eye glass wearer may wonder why they did not try contacts sooner. Here are some advantages of contact lenses:

Contact lenses allow for a wider field of vision. The frames of glasses block a person's peripheral vision and contacts are able to restore that because there is no frame in the way.
